Andrea is a registered massage therapist with the College of Massage Therapy of British Columbia and the Massage Therapists’ Association of British Columbia. Andrea graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy in 2004. She has been in practice since graduating and joined the team at the West End Physiotherapy Clinic in early 2006.
Andrea is passionate about her work and believes that balance is key in living a healthy lifestyle. She believes that massage therapy is an integral part of that balance and helps patients with rehabilitation, maintenance and prevention of injuries, illness and stress.
Andrea mostly integrates trigger point therapy, myofascial release, joint mobilizations, deep tissue and Swedish techniques in her treatments. She treats intuitively and always listens to the needs of each patient and adjusts her treatments accordingly. She encourages home care after each treatment by giving patients hydrotherapy treatments, breathing techniques, stretching and/or strengthening exercises.
She likes seeing results and helping people feel better which are just a few of the reasons why she loves what she does. She believes massage therapy is a natural way to help heal one’s body and to help provide pain and stress relief for oneself.
