Pronation/Supination Wrist Exercise

Pronation/Supination Wrist Exercise

This wrist exercise is excellent for patients who are in the subacute phase of recovering from a wrist injury and aren’t quite ready for concentrics / eccentrics. It is a great way to build stability and introduce strengthening.

How to:

  1. Start with your wrist in neutral and holding the hammer.
  2. Slowly and in a controlled manner, lower the hammer down inward, so your palm faces down (pronation).
  3. Repeat on the other side, so your palm faces the ceiling (supination).
  4. The lower you grip the hammer the more challenging it becomes.

*Never do an exercise that causes you pain
