Upper Back Stretch

An effective way to enhance posture and increase flexibility in the upper back and shoulders is through this gentle upper back stretch. It’s great for relieving any built-up tension resulting from prolonged periods of sitting. The best part is, it’s simple to perform and doesn’t call for any equipment, making it a hassle-free addition to your routine.

How-To Steps:

  1. Start on your knees in front of a chair or bench or chair. Put your elbows on the chair.
  2. Drop your chest and push the hips back slightly to extend the middle back, keeping your lower back flat.
  3. Hold this stretch for 15-20 seconds, then come out of the position and repeat 3-5 times, trying to push deeper into the stretch each time.
  4. Remember to breathe deeply.

*Never do an exercise that causes you pain*
