Balance Exercise – The Clock

The ‘Clock’ balance exercise demands strength, flexibility, and balance, making it suitable for individuals across various demographics. It can be adapted to different levels of difficulty as necessary. The idea is to stand on one leg and stretch the other in different directions like you’re pointing to the numbers on a clock. Make sure you’ve got the support or supervision you need.

How-To Steps:

  1. Picture yourself in the middle of an imaginary clock, each number representing a direction to reach.
  2. Stand on one leg and stretch your free leg as far as you can forward, sideways, and backward, hitting each imaginary number while keeping your balance. Bend the supporting knee a bit for stability.
  3. Give the ground a light tap with your free foot, then come back to the center.
  4. Repeat the sequence on the opposite leg.
